In January 2014 the snow line went a bit more south and more to the west in Europe - but without reaching Central and Western Europe. There aren't many changes with the sea ice north of Scandinavia, but we can see more sea ice at the east coast of the U.S., west of Kamchatka and a differet situation west of Alaska. As it is summer in the south the sea ice melts around Antarctica; the minimum will be in March only. See the next picture to compare with last year.
