If we compare with last year we can see that there is more sea ice at the U.S. east coast, but less west of Alaska, and at Greenland's west coast we have an ice free area at the moment. There is more snow in the eastern U.S. and around the Black Sea - and surprisingly also more in Europe. Antarctica has more sea ice on the Atlantic and less on the Pacific part.
