We have had a very unusual few weeks of wet weather. At the time I took these images it was raining a fine mist. The rain gauge recorded 4.4 mm of rain that had been collected over the previous 24 hours. This is quite representative of the weather since 15 June. Between the dates of 15 June - 3 July I recorded 71.7 mm of rain in my rain gauge! It continued to rain heavy showers during the 3rd and 4th of July, for about another 8-10 mm of rain. This is a very high amount for us, considering that our average annual precipitation is only about 276 mm per year. It is very soggy outside! But, yesterday and today the sun has come out and it is very bright and warm and the vegetation is so lush and green it is really lovely.
