The warm March, temps near 30 C for a couple days, lead to bud burst about one month
earlier than last year. Last year bud burst was late. As you can see in the
pictures, leaves are out of the short bushes and coming out on the trees. April is
shaping up to be more average. On one of the days, there were strong thunderstorms and there was a tornado behind
our house. This was the first tornado I had ever seen. Tornadoes in March in southern Michigan is very rare.
