Here are my July and August images. I got a late image in August.
You can see that there is a large difference. There was quite a bit of rain early in the summer. Then, it stopped. It has actually been quite dry here as you can see from the river level. It has not been terribly hot either this summer which has been nice. Our cool summers in the Great Lakes mean very hot summers out west. If the pattern stays the same, we would have a cold winter. We'll see.
