There were warmer temperatures in the last few days (max 7 degrees during the day, minus 2-3 degrees during the night) but the cold wind from east (bise) acted as strong wind chill factor and caused a feeling of real cold temperatures. In the morning our two ponds in our garden were frozen on the surface, the thin ice layer disappeared during the morning. Nevertheless a lot of snowdrops are growing, as well as the wild garlic which we use in spring to make wonderful dressings for salad or pasta. The common lilac in front of my office window shows budburst.
