The picture is taken 6th June and as you
can see, the weather is nice. May has been rather chilly around Stavern.
Too much wind coming from northeast with precipitation now and then and
quite cloudy. June has started well but still the wind is cold but it has
changed direction, now coming in from southwest and that's more normal.
In Norway low pressures are coming in from the west and usually then
following the coast northward, but in May they came up from the south
through Poland and moved westeward and stayed above southern Norway. Here
we didn't get too much rain but further north heavy rain has caused floods
in many rivers. Houses have been moved down rivers and lots of damages have
been done. Some of the houses were just rebuilt after the flood two years
ago.
Here it's too cold to take a comfortable bath in the sea. The temperature
in the sea is for the moment 15 degrees C. That's too cold for me. But our
boat has now water below the keel but no voyage has been done yet. I'm very
late this year but the weather didn't give me any spirit to start the
polishing.
