Parts of January have been like an old Norwegian winter regarding to the temp. But now we are back to a green winter almost like November. The middle part of the month was cold with a small amount with snow. We got 12 mm with rain/snow. Average temp was - 2.8 with max 7.7 and min - 11 and 27 days wirth frost.
The harbour got it's water covered with ice but this ice has already disappeared. For the moment we have a windspeed of more than 14 m/s straight from the south. Late in January we had 24 m/s and that is not normal for the month. Luckily we don't live in the west because they have had strong winds and heavy precipitation. The weather forecast predicted waves with a height up to 18 - 20 m along the cost. Roofs were torn off buildings and many islands were isolated from the mainland. They meassured windspeed of 44 m/s and broke an earlier record.
