Please notice that the
hillside is still brown. Rain did not arrive. The grass on the hills
did not green up yet. We are in one of the driest winters for
California. The United States is on track to have the second warmest
winter on record. My students cannot test water quality at the pond
we've studied for three years (and was presented in Oslo). The pond
has no water.
Rain should arrive this week, but only for one day. We expect to be
rationing water this summer.
