The plants are growing well and the garden is lush. Very few apricots are on the tree this year. The apricot tree was pruned at the start of spring, resulting in strong growth but little fruit.
The raspberries are sweet and tasty. Shasta daisy plants are starting to bloom. We now have a hops plant. Look for the hops plant at the bottom of the brown twine. Hopefully, it will grow tall and have lots of hops. We may need to brew our own beer this year.
Our temperatures for the month of May were cooler than expected. However, across the United States, over 8,590 record high temperatures were recorded, making May, 2018, the hottest ever since temperature recordings started about 140 years ago.
