Temperatures in this period were those of a full summer. Green is still the main colour of the garden, even if golden nuances more and more seep into the palette. Some plants are more responsive to day length: so seems to be the pomegranate, whose leaves – but only in some branches – start to turn yellow. Fruits have swollen and gained a bright colour, red to orange. Many of last year’s ones– turned into hard, dry and black mummies –still remain at their place.
