Here is my November image. After a long hot summer, autumn has arrived! We have seen frost but not real cold yet. Later this week we expect the first night below 0C. October was quite a month as North Carolina where I live experienced the remains of two Hurricanes. Florence and Michael. Each dropped s lot of rain. Florence - 16cm and Michael 13 cm. Significant flooding accompanied both. The biggest issue for us was the re-intensification of Michael. The re-intensification occured when the tropical storm remnant was integrated to a mid-latitude frontal system. This happened right over us. We had 4 large trees blown over completely and several large branches snap which damage many other trees. In the neighboring state park there were some trees twisted off and others up-rooted in many different directions seeming to indicate a possible tornado. With all the tree damage, we lost electricity for over 3 days. We still have much work to do to clean up all of the tree damage, but we are thankful that there was no damage to our home.
