Here is the first picture from Iceland. It is taken in southwest Iceland.
The name of the lake is Rauðavatn (Red Lake) and the most conspicuous
mountains in the background are Vífilsfell (a mountain named for the first
settler’s slave) and Bláfjöll (Blue Mountain) which are formed in
subglacial volcanic eruptions during the ice age. The vegetation in the
foreground is Alaska lupine and willow and conifer forest is on the other
side of the lake. The picture is taken the 5th of June at 19:32 and it is
cloudy and a little bit windy. The temperature when the picture was taken
was 14 degree C.
