The weather has been rather warm so far this winter and we have not had any snow yet here in the southern part of Iceland. But it has snowed unusually much in the northern part of the country. The heat has been near freezing temperatures from time to time. At the time of this photograph it was -5°C. These rime crystals appear on the vegetation from moisture from the atmosphere. The picture is taken in twilight on the day after solstice or on December 22nd. Now, four days later, the temperature is well above zero and it rains slightly and just a pleasant weather. This is Iceland, not very cold and not very hot, just lag om.
