Raudavatn - Iceland - April 2020: This picture was taken in the evening in moonlight! March/April was rather cold and we had often bad weather with heavy winds and much precipitation, mainly snow. Wind speeds were often well above average and considerable interruptions occurred in transport between parts of the country. White days in Reykjavik were 16, four more than on average from 1971 to 2000. The lake is still covered with ice and people is playing out there. The temperature is well above the zero, but the sunshine is now beginning to warm a little so the snow on the paths are melting and it is easy to ride bikes now although it is snowing every other day. We are just beginning to see the spring I hope.
