As we get nearer to the end of a very hot spell this summer, my front garden plot is showing some of the results of hot weather. I still have some blooms on my “Black-Eyed Susans”, the Maryland State Flower, but no new ones are appearing. My Shasta daisies are finished and I do need to dead-head them. The Butterfly Bush is in full bloom, and I have lots of butterflies and even hummingbirds feeding on the blooms.
