After an extremely warm February, March was cooler and wetter than normal. We are a very rural area and depend on agriculture for a major portion of our economy. Many are afraid about the early budding of fruit trees and the impact of a possible late freeze will have on these crops. Also because of a very short season of frost, yields are predicted to be considerable less than usual.
