January 2020: We didn't get any snow in December 2019, but at least some nights with temperatures below zero. As ice always shows different structures depending on the way it grew I chose a picture that shows the surface of a pond that was ice covered at the end of December 2019. It is fascinating to observe all these structures and to track how they change if the temperature remains below zero for several days!
