The first (common) butterbur [Petasites hybridus, syn.: P. officinalis, Tussilago hybrida] (Pestwurz) fruits already flew away and soon its this year's reproduction cycle is already over. The plant uses the following months to gain energy for next year and therefore develops unexpectedly big leaves.
