2013-2014 compare: Arctic: This year we observe more sea ice between Svalbard and Nowaja Semlja and in the Hudson Bay, but less in the Bering inlet (the Wrangel island was sea ice locked last year). More snow now in North America, Asia and eastern Europe, but less in the Alps and in Iceland.
Antarctica: The edge of the sea ice is less smooth this year, we observe more holes that already open from the inner / coastal side.
