Density determination of fresh snow: The snow board shows that we have about 5cm of fresh snow. To have a check measurement I filled two different cups with fresh snow. Before I weighed the empty cup (-> weight in g), filled it with water, weighed again, subtracted the cup's weight and got the volume in ml=cm3. With a waterproof pencil I wrote both, the weight and the volume, on the cup.
