"Oh, a dream catcher!" I thought when I saw this branch fork in the forest. A real dream catcher is a Native American cult object made of a willow hoop, decorated with feathers or beads. May this very simple Swiss one be an icon for all of us and filter out some dreams that can get true. What the picture tells us: 1) Apparently a spider used this branch fork for its web. 2) Apparently wind and weather didn't destroy this short-living art work until hoarfrost came. 3) As you can see it was cold enough for hoarfrost, but we rarely got some precipitation / snow in December (driest December in Switzerland since 1864!). 4) Why does the hoarfrost build up along such thin structures as a spinning thread but not along other (thicker) structures?
