(Use the player.) The leaves of the European aspen [Populus tremula] (Zitterpappel) make a characteristic sound in the wind. On this picture you can "see" the different frequencies of the leaves. I wonder what it depends on that sometimes a leaf is oscillating whereas the neighbouring leaf isn't.
